Protein Atlas Portal
At the 4th Annual HUPO Congress in Munich, Germany, Dr. Mathias Uhlen announced the launch of the Protein Atlas. This atlas contains more than 400,000 images of healthy and diseased human tissues and shows where proteins are localised. The project, when completed, is expected to map all 22,000 estimated human proteins in the body, significantly impacting the design and advancement of new treatments and drugs for cancer and other diseases.
