2021 Executive Committee Elections

Nominations are now open for HUPO Executive Committee positions. This is an opportunity to lead the future of our important scientific organization and work with an enthusiastic global team to promote and represent proteomics.

The Executive Committee of HUPO consists of seven officers as follows: President, Immediate Past President or President-Elect (alternates), Vice President, Secretary General, Treasurer and two Members-at-Large. There is also an appointed Early Career Researcher (ECR) representative that sits on the Executive Committee. The following positions will be elected by Council vote for a two-year term and commence in January 2022:

  • President-Elect (2022), President (2023-2024), Past President (2025)
  • Vice President (2022-2023)
  • ECR Representative (2022-2023) - appointed by the ECR, ratified by Council

The HUPO President position follows a rotation between three global regions: Eastern (Asia/Oceania), Central (Europe/Africa), and Western (Pan America). According to this rotation, the next President Elect should ideally be from the Western region. The Executive Committee should represent a regional and gender balance.

The deadline to submit nominations is August 31, 2021.

Nomination Details

All candidates must be active HUPO members and scientists from the public or private sector with professional experience in the educational, research, or commercial activities related to the purposes of HUPO. Please complete the self-nomination form below and submit a headshot photograph of yourself to before August 31, 2021. The subject line for the email should be "2021 Executive Committee Elections".
