Position Title: Assistant Professor of Precision Proteomics (Non-Tenure Track)

Summary of Position: The Faculty of Medicine of the University of Zurich seeks to appoint an Assistant Professor of Precision Proteomics (Non-Tenure Track) on a newly created position to be filled as soon as possible.
The position is limited to 6 years and is based at the Swiss Institute of Allergy and Asthma Research (SIAF) at the Davos Medical Campus and at the University of Zurich. The assistant professorship will be established as part of the academic and research strategy of the Canton of Graubünden. The Canton of Graubünden and the SIAF will finance the assistant professorship, including salaries of staff and doctoral positions and equipment.
The assistant professor will be responsible for managing the proteomics centre at SIAF and will ensure its academic establishment. Moreover, the assistant professor will be responsible for representing precision proteomics in teaching and research. In research, the assistant professor will be able to contribute with precision proteomics to new and existing research projects in various collaborations.
The successful applicant will be expected to have proven expertise in immunology (PhD, habilitation or equivalent) and proteomics, as well as a sound knowledge of bioinformatics. Expertise in allergology is desired but not required. The successful applicant should conduct active research in the field of proteomics, which is internationally recognized and supported by the successful acquisition of competitive third-party funding. The successful applicant should be an integrative person with a commitment to interdisciplinary cooperation and experience in the design and implementation of courses, especially in mass spectrometer-based proteomics. Good organizational skills and a high degree of resilience are also required.
