Position title: Postdoctoral position in Proteomics and RNA modifications
Company: University of Lund
Location: Lund Sweden
Summary of position:
An exciting opportunity for a Postdoctoral Fellow is available within the RNA and Stem Cell Biology group of Dr. Cristian Bellodi at the Division of Molecular Hematology of the Lund Stem Cell Center, Lund University, Sweden. This laboratory focuses new post-transcriptional facets of gene expression control in stem and cancer cell at a molecular, cellular and organismal level. Recently, a critical role of RNA modifications in governing protein synthesis and stem cell function (Guzzi et al., Cell 2018) has been uncovered. The applicant will use mass spectrometry-based quantitative proteomics methods to analyze defined cell populations isolated from novel genetic models and patient-derived cells available in the laboratory. Candidate should be interested in the clinical application of basic science research toward understanding the mechanisms underlying hematological diseases associated with stem cell dysfunction.
