As essential reference knowledge bases for the HUPO Human Proteome Project (HPP), neXtprot and PeptideAtlas have been validating, annotating and integrating all the data generated. In addition, they have developed specific tools to assist HPP teams in planning experiments and analyzing results. Yet, these databases do not have dedicated funding from home granting agencies to support the HPP. Your donation earmarked for the HPP knowledge bases will help to provide partial funding for their continued participation and support for HUPO’s flagship project. At a minimum we suggest $50, but a higher donation is gratefully received.
Developed by the Swiss Institute of Bioinformatics neXtProt is a comprehensive human-centric discovery platform, offering its users a seamless integration of and navigation through protein-related data.
PeptideAtlas is a multi-organism, publicly accessible compendium of peptides identified in a large set of tandem mass spectrometry proteomics experiments. Mass spectrometer output files are collected for human, mouse, yeast, and several other organisms, and searched using the latest search engines and protein sequences.
