About One World, One Health

The One World, One Health initiative of HUPO, brings together global expertise in proteomics and allied scientific disciplines to address the interconnected challenges of human health, animal health, environmental health, infectious diseases, and non-communicable diseases.

Through international collaboration, the initiative aims to use proteomic research to better understand how biology, environment, microbiota, pathogens, and socioeconomic factors shape health outcomes worldwide.

Vision
The vision of One World, One Health is to establish a transformative framework that integrates proteomic research with multidisciplinary approaches to address the complex relationships among human health, environmental factors, infectious diseases, microbiota, and non-communicable diseases.

By applying advanced technologies such as mass spectrometry-based proteomics, multi-omics integration, bioinformatics, and data analytics, the initiative aims to generate actionable insights that support diagnostics, therapeutics, prevention strategies, and public health interventions.

The goal is a future in which proteomic discoveries contribute to improved health and well-being for all people, regardless of geography or socioeconomic status.
